Anyone excited for the NASA Artemis I moon mission next month?

NASA has plans to return people to the moon by 2024/2025, and that planning is turning into reality next month with the Artemis I mission, which will launch an unmanned capsule around the moon and back to earth. 2 years after this a crewed capsule will make the same journey followed by a manned landing on the lunar surface the year after.

August 29th has been selected as the launch date, with a few days in early September if they miss the launch window.

This rocket is basically a successor to the Saturn V, which your boomer MD saw launch as a kid.

Just seems kinda exciting, except for now we have a booming private spaceflight industry that isn't totally chained down by a government budget that can be slashed at a whim.
