How long does it take to hire a new associate?
I have noticed some postings for associates in specific groups go on for months. I interviewed for a role last February and the analyst was still looking for an associate until a few weeks ago (the firm implemented a hiring freeze until next year). Interviewed for another role back in September and the analyst keeps posting on LinkedIn that they are still looking for someone for the role.
I have seen some postings go up in the summer and their analysts are still recruiting for them. Is hiring an associate this hard? If these were IB analyst positions I bet they would be filled immediately.
I should not that the first analyst had no change in his team, he told me that I would be joining to make a team of 3, and the other associate is still there
