Is BMO prestigious?
I read a lot about BMO on here and it is quite popular within Canadians, how are the exit opportunities like?
Side note: Has anybody heard back from BMO'25?

Probably the worst Investment Bank in Canada, every product group is ass besides M&M which is basically a sweatshop. The salary is shit, the exits are shit, horrible WLB, they haven't been on any major deals, they're homophobic, must I say more?? BMO is looking as shitty as FT partners.
Lol they are second to RBC in Canada wrt B5 and that’s it.
TD is close, Scotia and CIBC are dogshit.
The recent news is blowing BMO up but it isn’t even that much of a sweatshop.
I second this. Culture is horrible even in the US, and them not being #1 in Canada says something. Interns are treated very poorly and everyone acts like a family on the surface but in person there are tons of work politics in play, and it will bite you in the ass eventually.
Absolutely not, its horrible in the US and mid in Canada.
Non-existent in US, prestigious to plebs in Canada. Overall rating: mid
Prestigious in both🤷
BMO is probably ass in the US based off what I'm hearing in the comments, but Canada too? Thats cap💀
Only the Metals & Mining group (if you're okay with being bullied for being gay)
I heard they support Trudeau and Trans rights tho
Whats wrong about that??
Back to these troll posts again
It’s incredibly toxic, worst culture on the street by far; fuck even Americans say to avoid the Chicago office. The bank has high turnover (hire and fire) or people are leaving because who would wanna work there. Pay does not line up to the amount of shit you have to eat to work there. Would avoid them
I’ve been working in the Chicago office for 2.5 years and can attest to that. Currently trying to jump ship ASAP
Strongly dislike 'prestige' assessments and the reality is if you get a BMO offer vs no offer, you should take it with both hands. That said, I am forever grateful that I got an RBC interview right in the middle of BMO final rounds and managed to nail it; my good friend got the BMO position. He got canned and then his replacement got canned as well; these were not incompetent guys. BMO just seems to love canning people.
