Kilkenny! Hard to find in the US, but a handful of Irish pubs around NYC have it. (Connolly’s / Perfect Pint) For Whiskey I’m gonna have to go with BTAC Thomas Handy 2021 release.

I went to a few breweries in TN and NC (one was literally on the state line) this weekend and had this immediate connection with this bartender, but she lives too far away and was kind of old so didn't shoot my shot. She had a literal rosary tattoo on her hand and arm. Badass. Had some good local beers.

Can't narrow it down so here's my top three

1. Lagunitas IPA

2. Odell IPA

3. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

Honorable mention: St Arnold's Art Car IPA (HTX)

I hosted with my roommate a party on Del Mar beach in Cali and we got 7 kegs of Sierra Nevada and dropped them in the sand. We got tiki huts and made it all look real nice. We brought wristbands and sold solo cups for $5 bucks. Had a lot of people show up. Will never forget sipping Sierra Nevada on the beach that July 4. Good times.

Also, the cops came up to us and we thought we were getting in trouble because we didn't have a permit and just rolled up and did our own thing. But, turned out the cops just wanted some cups - we gave them free cups. Legendary.

I like Hefeweizens.

Here are some of the highest-rated beers globally, along with reasons for their acclaim:

### 1. **Westvleteren 12 (XII) – Westvleteren Brewery, Belgium**
   - **Style:** Quadrupel
   - **Why it's highly rated:** Brewed by Trappist monks, this beer is revered for its complexity, balance, and smoothness. Its rich, dark malt profile with dried fruit, caramel, and a slightly sweet finish makes it a favorite among beer enthusiasts. Limited production adds to its allure.

### 2. **The Alchemist Heady Topper – The Alchemist, Vermont, USA**
   - **Style:** Double IPA
   - **Why it's highly rated:** Known for its explosive hop flavors, Heady Topper is a cult favorite. It delivers a perfect blend of bitterness and fruity hop notes like citrus and tropical fruits, with a hazy, unfiltered body. Freshness is key, and its scarcity makes it more desirable.

### 3. **Pliny the Elder – Russian River Brewing, California, USA**
   - **Style:** Double IPA
   - **Why it's highly rated:** This legendary IPA strikes a remarkable balance between bitterness and malt sweetness. Its piney, resinous hop character is iconic, making it a go-to for hop lovers. The brewery's consistency in quality keeps it at the top of many beer aficionados' lists.

### 4. **Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout – Goose Island, Illinois, USA**
   - **Style:** Imperial Stout (Barrel-Aged)
   - **Why it's highly rated:** This barrel-aged stout is famous for its deep, rich flavors of chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, and oak. Its thick, syrupy texture and warming alcohol presence make it a luxurious sipping beer, often released annually in limited batches.

### 5. **Tree House Julius – Tree House Brewing Company, Massachusetts, USA**
   - **Style:** New England IPA
   - **Why it's highly rated:** This hazy IPA is loved for its juicy, tropical fruit flavors and creamy texture. Low bitterness and a soft mouthfeel make it extremely drinkable, and it's often considered a benchmark for the New England IPA style.

### 6. **Cantillon Fou' Foune – Cantillon Brewery, Belgium**
   - **Style:** Lambic (Apricot)
   - **Why it's highly rated:** A spontaneously fermented beer, Cantillon Fou' Foune is made with apricots, giving it a sour, tart, and funky flavor profile. Its balance between fruitiness and wild yeast complexity makes it a standout in the world of sour beers.

### 7. **Bell's Hopslam Ale – Bell's Brewery, Michigan, USA**
   - **Style:** Double IPA
   - **Why it's highly rated:** Hopslam is packed with hop flavor but balanced by honey sweetness, offering a rich yet approachable beer. Its high alcohol content is well hidden, and the vibrant citrus and floral hop notes make it a seasonal favorite.

### 8. **3 Floyds Dark Lord – 3 Floyds Brewing, Indiana, USA**
   - **Style:** Russian Imperial Stout
   - **Why it's highly rated:** Dark Lord is an over-the-top stout with massive flavors of coffee, chocolate, and molasses, aged in various barrels for added complexity. Its thick, almost chewy texture and high alcohol content make it a decadent treat.

### 9. **St. Bernardus Abt 12 – Brouwerij St. Bernardus, Belgium**
   - **Style:** Quadrupel
   - **Why it's highly rated:** This Belgian quad offers a smooth blend of dark fruit, caramel, and spice with a mild sweetness. Its balance and drinkability, despite its higher alcohol content, make it a favorite among fans of traditional Belgian ales.

### 10. **Founders KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) – Founders Brewing, Michigan, USA**
   - **Style:** Imperial Stout (Barrel-Aged)
   - **Why it's highly rated:** KBS is revered for its bold flavors of coffee, chocolate, and bourbon, with a silky texture and a balanced sweetness. Its aging in bourbon barrels adds layers of complexity that fans of strong stouts love.

These beers are rated highly due to their balance of flavors, brewing expertise, and often limited availability, which creates excitement and demand among beer enthusiasts. Each brings something unique to the table, whether it's a focus on intense hops, barrel-aging, or traditional brewing methods.
