What is needed most to improve WSO?

As an FYI, over the next few days we will be tinkering with some Javascript & jquery to try and improve pageload times. We think we can get much faster pageloads and think that the Ads are slowing us down. We are looking into a variety of options so in the meantime I apologize if the site isn't loading as fast as desired.

In terms of the Group functionality, we are hoping to debut this by late next week. Development and testing will be going on this Thursday and through the weekend and we hope that by mid next week we are ready to go.

perhaps include options that prospective monkeys can click on without messing up the stats. (eg "i'm a prospective, i have no idea")

Sometimes us prospective monkesy would like to see the result (e.g. how many hours ibankers work on weekends), but since we're only prospectives, we have no idea, and proceed to clicking randomly so that the results will show, but taint the results in the process.

I think combining a more efficient search function with a FAQ pointing to past threads would do wonders for this site.

I definitely see the benefits for allowing Certified Users to have their own groups. Maybe have it so they can only post while everyone can view, making it more beneficial to both groups. I would also assume that it would reuslt in an increase in the total amount of ceritfied users. One question I have... how do you keep interns from using their summer emails to become certified users? Or i would assume (and hope) that that is not an issue.

Overall, I find this site very useful and the new search function is MUCH better than the old.

Mike, Groups with this functionality is coming this Tuesday (ahead of schedule) which should be an awesome new addition to the site. It should help everyone (and the Certified Users) gain valuable networking opportunities. I'm really happy with the new Search function. It seriously is about 100x better than the old one so I hope everyone is taking advantage and pulling out some great threads from the archives!

the summer intern thing has never been a big issue. i've had a few interns try to get Certified but I turned them down. It's pretty easy to tell who has more than 1 year of experience (based on posts, etc) and who is relatively new.

Better search. First one was bad and for some reason the Google search is just as bad. How can I search for a term and then order the results by date?

hey, what were you trying to search for? I will see if we can add a sort by date feature to the Google custom search engine.

and i disagree - i think this search is significantly better.
