How To Wear A Suit, Courtesy of Arden Reed

Being that we are currently in the middle of Summer Analyst recruitment, I'm sure a lot of people out there have questions about an extremely important, but often-overlooked, aspect of interviewing: your suit.

Now, there are a billion threads about wso/">suits, accessories, whether you should wear your Patek or Rolex with your Brioni suit, etc etc etc here on WallStreetOasis. Generally advice in these threads comes from people who are mid-puberty and have never seen a Patek, but I digress. In any case, today we'll have some information about wso/">suits from people who really know a thing or two -- our good friends at Arden Reed.

Some of you may recall my interview earlier this year with Carlos Solorio, one of Arden Reed's co-founders. If you haven't seen that write-up, do check it out.

In any case, Carlos has been so kind as to keep me in the loop about what's going on at Arden Reed, and they've recently developed an extremely informative infographic about the ubiquitous uniform that we don in the finance world.

Check it out below and learn a thing or two:

The Ultimate Guide on How to Wear a Suit – An infographic by the team at Arden Reed

Be sure to have a look at some of the other articles on their site that deal with style and building a comprehensive wardrobe on a budget. A lot of great information to be seen!

Enjoy, and may all of your suit-related questions be answered.

They need to fix their website. Squishing the images of the pants down from their original aspect ratio on the overview page makes them look bulky and well, disgusting. This is readily apparent when you compare the images on the pants overview page to the expanded images on the product page, which I assume are at the original aspect ratio.

Great stuff. Not really what I'm in the market for right now but I had one of the reps demo the tech for me at the conference and it's by far the most impressive of all the businesswear MTM companies out there right now.

They should mention to 1) not button the bottom button, 2) remove the tags from the sleeves, and 3) open up the pockets. I can't believe the number of times I've been around people who did not follow at least one of the above.

In addition, the infographic should mention 3, 2, and 1 button suits.
