Meet The Wives Of Wall Street

Andy note: this was originally posted on BI on 9/22/12

We feel like we know Louis Bacon, Steve Schwarzman and Jamie Dimon to a certain extent because we read about them in the news all the time.
But we really don't know much about their wives at all, and that feels a little odd.
We've found that many of the hedge fund honchos, private equity titans and bank CEOs are married to some really remarkable women.

During our research, we found a fashion designer, an economist, several entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Now let's meet Wall Street's wives...

Some good, some bad

I'd have a go at a few of them, no doubt

joan weill. i'm talking, THE joan weill. that's no small potatoes. how big a pimp would you be if you could say, "Yeah, Joan Weill? I hit that; no big deal."

honestly, if some of these guys had super-hot 19-year-old wives, then i wouldn't be able to take them seriously. straight creepy old man status...

Money Never Sleeps? More like Money Never SUCKS amirite?!?!?!?

Interesting. Icahn's wife and Soros's latest iteration are what I expected from this list.

But most look very normal, and even appear similar in age. A surprising number from the business world...the thought of dating a girl in finance is really a turn off for me. I don't even mean because of appearances: if you work in finance, do you really want to come back to somebody who is also in finance?

Leave it to Kravis to find the best solution: an economist. Similar enough that each is interested in the other's work, different enough that you aren't discussing debt covenants over dinner. Also, they are going after very different kinds of "prestige", so there's no competition.

Though there is something to be said for Falcone. I think meeting somebody before you've made it is the best way to ensure you have a real relationship.

And I hope that is just a bad picture of Bacon's wife.

Einhorn's wife is actually a man and a former NFL kicker stalking Dan Marino

BI had to pick the worst possible picture of Cheryl they could find. Here is a much better one (as pointed out a commentator on their own site): http://www.hillel.org/about/news/2008/mar/27mar08_einhorn.htm

She may not be statuesque but Cheryl Einhorn is a beautiful woman.

he could still do better....she looks like the obnoxious wife on Curb

I put these women to shame, how do I meet single wall street execs?
