Asset Management Comp?

Hi I’m interested in joining an Asset Management group in my firm, lateraling internally as a senior associate. Curious what comp generally looks like and what the figures look like as people progress in their roles as well

Based on the most helpful WSO content, compensation in the asset management industry can vary greatly depending on the level of the role. For instance, at the analyst, associate, and VP levels, the compensation structure typically includes a base salary, a bonus, and sometimes other forms of compensation like stock options or profit sharing.

As for career progression, it's not typically like a 2-year program in investment banking. Many people in asset management find that they are able to move upwards over time, although this can depend on the firm and the specific role.

However, it's important to note that these are general trends and actual compensation and career progression can vary based on a number of factors, including the size and success of the firm, the specific role, and the individual's performance.

I hope this gives you a general idea of what to expect in terms of compensation and career progression in asset management!
