Buy side execution trading interview questions

Hi, I will be interviewing soon for a credit execution trading position and I wanted to preempt certain questions around how to handle PMs orders.

  • how to handle a trade of an illiquid bond ? what steps do you take to insure smooth and efficient trade in that situation?
  • If you have an order from a PM to sell a bond, you ask say 3 counter parties, and 2 of them come back saying they really want to do the trade, what do you do?

any other questions you can think of that could come from an experienced buyside trader to test an interviewee on handling of trades would be appreciated.
