Credit risk quant to AM research Quant?

Hi,

I’m 3 years in credit risk quant at a national bank. Mostly worked on statistical models and some machine learning. I have a quant finance degree and passed all CFA exams

I want to break into AM research role as that seems more lucrative and challenging.

My resume was sent to a HM at a large fixed income AM a while ago, and he won’t even give me a phone interview.

Need some advice here. Am I being totally unrealistic ?
