My organization recently sold an asset for a substantial gain, and needs to put the proceeds in to the market for growth. Because of previous roles in my career, I was approached to help design an investment plan and manage the assets for the organization internally. My question is, do I need licenses for this type of role? I had my 7/66 but they’ve since lapsed because I’m not associated with a broker anymore.
I would think there would be no liability since it’s our own cash and the organization decides how to use them, but looking for a second opinion.
