Alvarez & Marsal - Transferring between groups

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know what the process is when you transfer between groups at A&M and if this is difficult? I am very interested in joining their pepi group; however, I'm starting in their RX group very soon.

ANy help would be greatly appreciated

more interest in pe and pe related industries. on top of that, RX doesn't have the sexiest exit ops - probably going to have to work in distressed debt or move to another RX firm if you want to leave A&M. I'm not claiming those are the only exit ops but PEPI would give me more flexibility and a better path towards what i want to do in the future.

I currently work on the valuation side and am targeting a move to IB, specifically TMT M&A. A&M is a top bucket Rx shop, thus many headhunters from other Rx shops have been reaching out. Considering Rx at this point given the current conditions of the economy, but was interesting to hear someone wanting transfer out of the Rx arm.
