Aon Consulting internship on a gap year?

Recently got a virtual internship offer from an HR Consulting firm (think Aon Hewitt, Mercer) to work on a particular project and I am currently on a gap year before my undergrad. I am enrolled in a target European university (think Bocconi, HSG etc) but I am an international student from Asia. I have 3 major queries, 1) How valuable is the internship in improving my CV esp. in the context of applying for future internships and would it be a net positive doing an internship at the firm while on my gap before undergrad? 2) What are some of the major things I can learn in terms of skills to be as valuable as I can as an intern particularly in the technical skillset sector? 3) Is getting an LOR from an MD at the firm be valuable and how can I use the connections I make to further my career prospects? context: the office is in my home country not in Europe
