Best Internships for rising sophomore

Hi, I’m a rising sophomore at a semi-target in the south (Vanderbilt), and I was wondering what the best opportunities were for getting my feet wet in consulting. Most firms seem to want rising juniors (which arguably makes sense), and the positions that are open to sophomores seem to be for diversity (Asian male so not eligible). I have experience working in corporate real estate for a F500 as well as one of the MBBs, but want to put myself in an ideal position to secure a consulting internship for my junior summer. Should I be looking for corp strategy positions or consulting positions at smaller firms? Thanks!
