Boutique Consulting Firm => PE Infra

Hi everyone,

After several internships in the beautiful world of corporate finance (PE & transactions), I have been accepted for a Summer Associate role in a Boutique consulting firm in NYC. The company exclusively focused on transportation, while advising both companies on operational subject and major Private Equity funds regarding their DD needs.

Because I am heavily interested in infrastructure and concrete projects in general, I was wondering if this path was a good one to later join a PE Infra fund. I am afraid that this consulting role does not provide enough exposure to financial modelling, puting me at a disadvantage over IB analysts.

A huge THANK YOU to anyone reading the end of this post, I hope you can give me your point of view and wish you best of luck in your work / studies.
