Breaking into Management Consulting from these schools?

I am considering transferring as an econ major to UVA, UNC, USC, Vandy,or NYU. (Bussiness program is too competitive to get in) What are my chances of breaking into management consulting from any of these schools as an econ major? Thanks!

All of the Universities you mentioned are strong schools for consulting. However, UVA and UNC are the best schools you should try to get into. MBB/Deloitte recruit UVA and UNC. This link may be of some help to you. The only separating factor between the UVA and UNC are their location. I'd take into consideration whether you see yourself working in Washington DC or Atlanta.

Yeah. I'd pick UVA or NYU. The latter will cost you.

Thanks a lot! I would like to work in NYC, which school do you guys think would be the best choice? @Isaiah_53_5" @basketballfan242316" @Strat_Cons12"

I recently graduated from Vanderbilt and we had solid placements for MBB, Deloitte, and Accenture, but missed out on recruiting with other Tier II's.

To provide some context our full-time placement (including returning interns) was: McKinsey - 12 Bain - 15 BCG - 3 Deloitte S&O - 5 Accenture - 6

One word of advice is to consider the class sizes of the schools you're thinking about, not just palcement numbers. For example, Vandy has a class size of 1,600 while UVA is 5,000+.
