cap one business analyst interview

had my first case interview today with cap one. really like the company and am evaluating all my options for full time right now. I got the case interview right but the arithmetic took me a while and i ended up using the calculator. It was easy stuff but I felt pressured to avoid errors. Do you think the fact that I used the calculator for some simple multiplication and that i took my time will hurt me?

case was on credit cards and whether the credit line should be doubled. it was simple but the math with decimals kept me very cautious. I really took my time when multiplying because it is really easy to right 200 instead of 2000 or something silly like that.

I just did my interview with them and was asked to upload the resume and then do an "online assessment test" and then wait for their reply. They say the next email will be about the 2nd (i.e. final) interview if they are to get back to me after the online assessment test, which shouldn't be hard to do.

I used the calculator once or twice but the interviewer didn't seem to mind. Got the case done rather quickly and we started chatting about the company.

I'm moving on to the next level too. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of how this position ranks in terms of prestige and exit options. Have looked at the threads up about this but they dont say much. PM if you can give more input please.

Fair enough. What I meant was; will the program be viewed as good training if i want to move into something else. Right now it is one of my top options, if not my top option for what I will be doing next year. In the event that I don't stick around for the long haul i want to make sure I get a good education and that my skills can transfer over to consulting or whatnot.

While I am not a Business Analyst at CapOne, I am in their management training program on their Auto Finance side. From a company aspect I have really enjoyed working here and can say this is one of the few places I have worked that they go out of their way to make sure you know you are appreciated.

Good luck with the second round!
