College Junior FT recruiting trouble
For context, I am a third-year at a target Ivy+ (think Duke, Uchicago, etc.). I am a Canadian on F1 visa and had my summer 2026 internship offer revoked due to a misunderstanding about my visa status. I’m currently aiming for FT consulting, and I have a 3.7 GPA, and decent on-campus leadership. I’m wondering with my situation being international and without a junior summer internship, what I should aim to do right now. Obviously, I am still scrambling to try to find something for this summer, and any tips on where I should be applying would be great. I would appreciate any advice on what to do if I do not get anything this summer and how I can still land a first round at MBB or Big4, thanks.

For ft consulting. Try to land anything either in Canada or the US with F500 strategy/data roles, smaller consulting firms, etc. In general try to find something solid for this summer then try for FT. MBB do take a decent bit full time but it’s a very competitive process. So I would find something for this summer ASAP and start casing
Recruit in canada, its tough for internationals this year
