stick with the econ consulting assuming you liked the people. I found I liked the people about 100% better when I jumped from a big EC firm to a startup boutique ec shop, and the fact that they doubled my comp didn't hurt either. Usually a great way to transition into b-school after 3-5 years. Transition to HF/AM with a solid mba seems credible given your background.
