Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know about the Deloitte Strategy Analyst role and the interview process:

Interview Process:

  1. Initial Screening: Typically involves a phone interview to assess your basic qualifications and fit for the role.
  2. Case Interviews:
    • First Round: Usually consists of two 1-hour interviews. Each interview includes approximately 15 minutes for personal questions and 45 minutes to solve a consulting case.
    • Second Round: Another set of two interviews, often with Partners, following the same structure as the first round.
  3. Problem-Solving Test (PST): Similar to GMAT-like questions, this test assesses your analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Insights:

  • Work Balance: The work can be a mix of strategy and operations or implementation. Some have experienced a 50/50 split between strategy and operations, while others have had more operational work.
  • Hours: Strategy work tends to have longer hours (16+ hour days) compared to operational work (8-10 hour days).
  • Project Allocation: Getting on interesting strategy projects often requires a strong internal network and good references within the firm.
  • Monitor Acquisition: The acquisition of Monitor has expanded strategy opportunities within Deloitte.

Had an interview for it but declined due to accepting another offer. First round consists of a 30 minute behavioral and case respectively, and the super day is usually an in person format where you are given a presentation to browse through and develop a recommendation within 45 minutes

first round is a profitability case on and know the profit margin formula (rest is pretty common sense). source: i did the interview as well recently and a friend from another school had the exact same round 1 case
