You should aim for a 3.8+ and try your best but definitely get over a 3.5. Duke has the prestige so I assume that it certainly fares pretty well. I know the network is pretty good.
3.5 Minimum. Duke is a target for many places so you'll be fine, just clear the 3.5 hurdle.
I do not know if it helps but 39 offers were given to duke last year and this was just for MBB post undergrad.
39? That sounds mighty high. So each of MBB took 13 Duke students? Please tell me that my line of thinking is wrong, because that would definitely brighten my outlook on FT recruiting (got 2 MBB final rounds, but no SA offer).
Duke undergrad is still good right? Not just Fuqua?
39 Could be possible, but Duke gets hunted heavier by southern offices than my northern offices. I've found a bigger mass of them there than in say DC/NY/Boston
39 offers includes only the offers given not the offers that were accepted. Also, 39 does not only mean Northern and Southern offices but also includes international offices as well since Duke is a national target for all of MBB.
don't forget 39 offers doesn't mean 39 students once cross offers are taken into account. And yes, duke kids tend to go to the southern offices, not many alums in our DC/NYC/BOS offices
Does that mean that a Duke grad cant go to a NYC/CHI/BOS office ? My ivy actually received far fewer offers then Duke has gotten in the last couple of years. Many of our grads went to NYC/BOS/LA/SF offices.
