Econ Consulting vs Equity Research

Hey everyone! I have competing summer 2024 offers from a top econ consulting firm (Cornerstone, NERA, etc) and Alliance Bernstein (summer research analyst role). I'm interested in re-recruiting for management consulting or IB roles FT.

I really enjoyed the interviews in econ consulting and I'm excited about the opportunity to develop a more technical skillset, but I'm worried it might pigeonhole me and exit ops might be limited. I enjoyed meeting people at AB, but I'm not sure what exit ops look like.

Would love to hear some perspectives on both career paths!
