Economic Consulting New York vs. LA

This is the last thread I'm going to make on this matter since I haven't gotten very far with my other ones.

So I am deciding between two internship offers at large econ consulting firms (think Brattle, Cornerstone, CRA...so the highest level of prestige in the industry). One is in the securities/finance practice in NYC and one is generalist and would be in LA. Assuming the pay is equal (which it probably is for full time but i dont know), what would you do if you weren't positive you were going to take econ consulting as a career and might end up wanting to go into MBB or even IB after the summer? I'm really just looking at location and career opportunities as my deciding factors. Thanks!

I don't get your response. What's "just false?" I would agree that many have used econ consulting to get into top MBA programs.
