HR just sent an email saying that the internship is fully virtual from July 6 to August 7. Looks like most consulting firms will be virtual if most of Big 4 is doing this.

Strange. After LEK and PwC (including Strategy&) cancelled their internships and gave interns full-time jobs, plus Citi and Moelis made their programs a short virtual session with guaranteed full time jobs, I imagined everyone would follow.
Strange EY isn't following this pattern, but I imagine MBB will.
PwC didn’t cancel internships, we moved to virtual for undergrad internships. Undergrad summer interns still expected to do work (albeit virtual training) and will get paid (albeit less, due to shorter program), and all get FT offers.
S& MBA interns will still do internships, in whatever way the firm is working when they start (from home or in office or at client or whatever).
MBB have all said they are commited to a summer experience so I don't think they are just going to cancel. More likely to go remote. I believe microsoft and IBM have gone full program but remote.
Yes, but that's quite vague. Most likely scenario is a short (4-5 week) program virtually with guaranteed full-time offers just like Moelis, Citi, PwC and Strategy&

Yeah I intern at EY-P can confirm that. And they are paying for 5 weeks only now lol. But can't complain it's better than having no internship at all.

So, I am pretty sure EY will change their mind about this lol. 3/4 Big four audit firms gave full time offers, AND literally most consultancies have done the same including McKinsey, BCG, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, LEK, OW etc
