IBM GBS Consulting by Degrees

How do people perceive IBM Consulting by Degrees? I've talked to some people who say it's not management consulting at all, but IT consulting. Some reviews on this forum are pretty negative about it, and I saw a review on glass door accusing them of purposely misleading undergrads because it's not even real strategy consulting work.

What's the general perception of the program? Is it a good backup if I don't get into MBB for junior year summer internship? Or would I be better off with some internship in IB? How does it compare to other firms like Accenture, Oliver Wyman, or Deloitte, etc?

I'm aiming for MBB ultimately, but knowing the odds aren't good for anyone to land an internship before full-time recruiting, I'm just wondering if this is a good alternative, and if it's easy to get into. (I'm at a target school that MBB and IBM recruit from)

if you're talking internships then its def great... i'd rank jr year internship options for someone ultimately aiming for MBB FT as follows:

  1. MBB
  2. BB IBD/S&T
  3. Any reputable consulting firm incl. big 4s, acn, msft, ow, rb, etc.
  4. F500
  5. Not being a bum
