UMN Twin Cities and UST (MN). I didn't get into any other targets/reaches unfortunately. Based on everything I've seen, Kelley will give me the best opportunity.

Yea then the decision is definitely a bit more difficult. UMN Twin Cities has a solid presence at McK Minneapolis and BCG Minneapolis but IU has presence at all of the MBBs in Chicago from what I have observed.

I would honestly go to Kelley if money isn’t an issue, but if it is definitely go to UMN Twin Cities. I’d also consider if you REALLY want MBB to look into transferring schools after your first year at either school!

Not a 'target' but not impossible to break in either: https://kelley.iu.edu/recruiters-companies/undergrad/statistics/hiring-companies.html

If you look at the top 100 hiring companies (ordered by total hired), you'll see MBB on the list, but pretty far down. So my takeaway is that your average IU Kelly student won't sniff MBB, every year a few elite students (3.95+, strong internships, president of multiple clubs) will get it. Even if you don't end up at MBB, you still have very strong job prospects. There is a pretty strong list of companies on that list, so you'll turn out fine if you put the work in.

IU student here—

We just became a “target” school for McK & they’re doing a lot of events on campus. Not sure if that’s going to mean anything placement wise, however, as we normally place there pretty poorly (maybe 1-2/yr out of 1-2k+ that apply)

Another IU student here - lot of innacurate numbers above. I would say roughly 10-12 students is a reasonable estimate of how many per year are placing into MBB. Anybody saying 0-2 is wrong lol. If you are a stand out candidate it is definitely possible. If you work hard to be a standout candidate but ultimately fall short of MBB, the consulting workshop still places people at other good firms. *Worth noting that they pretty much only place Chicago though, so if you are set on NY you should grind freshman year and transfer to a stronger MBB target school.
