Leveraging ~3 Years Industry Experience to Enter Management Consulting Field
Hello all,
I currently work for a large integrated oil & gas company supporting various supply chain/finance functions. I've been here for about 3 years since I completed my undergraduate degree in the summer of 2015. I attended college at target Big Ten School (top 15-20 undergraduate business school).
With a few years of corporate experience under my belt, I am ready to make a career move into consulting to continue progressing my growth & development. I am looking to leverage my industry experience and transition into management consulting (focused on strategy, supply chain, human capital, etc.).
Has anyone made a similar move from an industry role into consulting? While I have limited formal consulting experience, the types of tasks I do on my daily job are similar to consulting - i.e., management of projects & stakeholder priorities, development of deliverables, creation of slide decks, etc. If you have any tips to share, that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
