London OC&C FT 2025

New thread since the other one died.

I’ve pretty much assumed I’m rejected since I haven’t heard back from application around October, but equally they haven’t actually said anything yet.

I know some firms like to send out interviews over the winter and I’m cautious about prep requirements.

What’s the word on the street?

  1. Have interviews/else been sent out for any other applicants?
  2. If anyone is further along the process, do they know what proportion of places have been filled already?
  3. Does anyone have guidance on their usual timeline?
  4. Any other info?

Cheers gents

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know about FT recruiting timelines and processes in London:

  1. Interviews and Updates: It's not uncommon for firms to send out interviews or updates over the winter months. Some firms, especially for FT roles, continue their processes into late December or even January. If you haven’t received a rejection yet, there’s still a chance you’re in consideration.

  2. Proportion of Places Filled: This varies by firm, but many banks and consulting firms aim to fill a significant portion of their FT roles by late autumn. However, some spots remain open for candidates who applied later or for those who stand out during off-cycle opportunities.

  3. Usual Timeline: For FT roles in London, applications typically open in late summer (August/September), with interviews starting shortly after. Assessment centers (ACs) and final rounds often occur between October and December. Some firms extend their processes into the new year, especially if they haven’t filled all positions.

  4. Preparation Guidance: Be ready for a mix of fit, behavioral, and technical questions. For consulting roles like OC&C, focus on case study preparation, market sizing, and problem-solving exercises. Networking can also be a key differentiator, even at this stage.

If you’re still waiting, it’s worth reaching out to HR or checking your application portal for updates. Keep preparing as if you’ll be called for an interview—better to be over-prepared than caught off guard. Good luck!
