MBB APD deadlines for London?

Hey guys, I'm an APD candidate in the UK and was looking at the deadlines for application for London this Fall for MBB, McK in specific. Do you guys have any insight on why does McK have two deadlines so close to each other (end of Sept - end of Oct)? One could think that some places would remain empty after the first round as top-level candidates would get offers from all three MBBs and decide to go for the other two. From that the need for a second deadline (differently from BCG which seems to have a "revolving" application time 15 Sept to 31 Oct). Is this the case or am I missing something? I would like to understand the dynamics so that I could make an informed decision on when to apply.

Thanks

I'm a bit unclear on that too. I emailed a McKinsey APD recruiter about it and this is what I heard back:

"All three deadlines are fine if you are applying for London. Please bear in mind, however, that London will be holding their interviews only in late Nov/ Dec (start dates only in Autumn 2016)."

There was an earlier deadline in June/July as well. I'm planning on the September deadline, unless something like a recruiting event is scheduled after that.
