M/B/B Phone Screen

Hello,

I had a phone screen with of the M/B/B firms last week after submitting my resume in February. It was 30 minutes and I was asked a bunch of questions on the types of analysis (experience curve, scale curve, etc.) I have performed. Based purely on my resume, I think it's pretty obvious that I would NEVER have done these specific types of analysis as I have worked 5 years at professional service firm and then 1 year in financial services (post-MBA). I'm actually sort of puzzled why they picked me for a phone screen.

Just curious if this is a common occurrence. I'm not overly optimistic..but wanted to find out if anyone has similar 1st round and managed to break through.

Cheers.
