MBB screening criteria for post-MBA, especially in China?

Hi monkeys, I plan to go for an MBA later in my career and join consulting, especially MBB if getting lucky. I'm working in US now but after graduation I would like to go back to my home country China, so I am curious about the whole resume screening thing of MBB Greater China area and if it's any different than US.

According to monkeys on this forum and my friends who have been thru the process, screening for undergraduate in US is a sum game, where all dimensions of a candidate (school prestige, undergrad GPA, extracurricular activities, internships, etc., you name it) are individually rated and summed up to get a final score, and the local office will pick the top x/x% candidates to interview based on the scores.

My questions are:

1 Is the process the same for screening MBA students? If so, will undergrad things still matter that much (GPA, internships and activities during undergrad time), or will the focus shift a lot towards GMAT, MBA overall performance and pre-MBA WE? How does networking affect the selection of candidates (I know it's not as necessary as IBD but still helps)?

2 Maybe not too many people here, but do anybody know about the situation in Greater China area? Are all the screenings the same there, and how is everything (business, employees, competitions, exit opps, etc.) compared to US offices?

Appreciate for any inputs!
