MBB summer internship

Hi people,

I need your advice. First time, I saw that the summer internship for MBB is opened at my country. Internship is for the summer between 3rd and 4th year of study. Application process starts one summer prior.

I am a rising sophomore at target. (I guess it is a target as most consultant are from this college). cGPA: 4.0, experience: various positions at 3 clubs, Student goverment and at pan-European NGO.

How can I maximize my chances to get in?

Finding internships (good ones) require you to be at least at your junior year, so, finding them is quite a challange for me.

P.s. My second concern is whether to go an exchange semester or not? I have options to go an exhcange either at the 2nd semester of the 2nd year or at the 1st semester of the 3rd year. However, if I go at the 3rd year I think I will miss the interviews at MBB, if I would go during the 2nd year I can miss possible summer internship. What would be the best option?
