NEED HELP- rescinded offer?
Need help. I applied and was offered an MBB internship, but had a different gpa on my application online than I currently actually have (retaking classes and put my gpa as if finished with an A in the class, which I will have but won't be updated until the end of the semester)
Will I be required to go through a background check, and will this hurt me? What should I do?
If it is important, the gpa difference is around .2
In case you weren't sure, what you did was really stupid. You put the GPA you have now, not what you might have in 2 months in the-best-case scenario.
It depends on when they ask for your updated transcripts. If they want a transcript with your Fall 2017 grades, then I think you're fine since they'll assume it has changed a little from your application time

Will they ask for an official one from the school? (As in, could the school be involved with this too and blackball me?)
