Recruiting for Rx Consulting (Alix, FTI, ...)

Hi guys, currently a Sophomore at a State school. Over the past few months been learning as much as I can about restructuring through sources I was able to find online. Most of them were geared more towards the Banking side. I've read through Moyer & the Credit Investor's Handbook, and I'm currently going through a book I saw a few times on the forum about the FA side (Jeff Sands -Corporate Turnaround Artistry).

I know recruiting for some of these shops has passed (A&M and BRG), but I saw that there are some places which haven't opened yet where the work looked interesting that still hire out of undergrad.

I was wondering if there was any advice that y'all might have as to how to approach Rx consulting recruiting. Not sure how important networking is, and if the material I have been reading through so far is on the right track, but honestly any advice in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks! Gave that thread a quick read a few minutes ago. Was wondering if you knew any books that would be helpful for the consulting side.

Wouldn't worry too much about RX consulting specific reads.

You're on the right track with the books mentioned to get a feel of the industry (squeeze in Caesar's Palace in there, it's an easy / "fun" read).

Entry level recruiting is still a nascent concept in the field, but networking will definitely help - Highly recommend reaching out to folks working, especially alum, to start branching out your footing.

From what I know A&M is done and BRG is running rn. I heard that Province only takes interns at certain offices, but then again that was through word of mouth.
