Recruitment cycle timing

I know trad. recruitment/interviewing starts Fall with offer to start after Spring grad. My adv. masters (non-MBA) is similar to executive; with weekend based, one calendar year format starting and ending August. Target univ but a young program and isn't connected to the B school. Sadly this means no option for internship either, although I am working full time too as a FA in a respected org in my field. I want to jump from industry to MC after my grad next Aug 17.

Since I don't even have a full term GPA to report from my current program - better to prepare for 2018 cycle? I've only started networking with campus visits, case prep, and joined our grad consulting club this Fall 16. I just hate to wait half year+ to start at a firm after graduating. Are there even start dates in the late Fall for fresh hires?

Alternatively, given my related work exp. I could apply as exp. hire outside of campus recruitment. We do have some alumni with success in this route, but they entered Big4 IT advisory. My aim is more Big4 S&O (and similar tier) and feel chances are better on campus.

Errrr, I think that recruitment for 2017 is mostly over anyway (at least if you're going MBB), so you'd have to apply for the 2018 cycle -- send in your applications in July 2017ish, interview through October, and have a job starting 2018. Most companies, from what I understand, are flexible on start date when you're coming from school.

Cool thanks. I'm aiming more for Big 4 and mid tier players.

I definitely had a couple of applications for Big 4 due in the summer as well, though those may have been life-science-specific roles (so many applications i can't remember all the details :P). Good luck!
