Rejected? - Consulting
Hi Monkeys, I've gone through 4 rounds of interview with a top consulting firm - not MBB I applied for Strategy Consulting and I went through my final round yesterday. Thought I did quite well. However, when I spoke to a few other candidates after my interview. They got on-the-spot offers. It seems they got offered positions in HR and IT. And they only went through 2 interviews.
Does that mean I got rejected for not being hired on the spot?
Calm down brother its most likely what you think it is. HR does interview for different positions on the same day. Plus they only went through 2 interviews, UNLESS, they liked them so much after two interviews HR didn't want the candidates to have a change of heart and immediately made them an offer they can't refuse...then, I would worry
Firms do a washout session after the interviews. It's possible that half an hour after your last interview a decision can be made, which could be communicated anywhere from then to a day or two later, but it seems hard to get a decision faster than that.
On the spot offers seem weird -- odd for a true strategy consulting firm
