In a case where a person reneges on one offer to go to another, when is the earliest that posting on LinkedIn is OK? Risk vs. ego value.

Honestly, this is why I tell folks to post on LI after probation because you may be let go, voluntarily leave or be fired within that first three-month window.
It's far better to just post after that than to have a year-long "incoming analyst position" to then not work at the damn bank for whatever reason.
