Rising sophomore in need of guidance

I’m a rising sophomore studying biochemistry/econ at a target school. I have an academic research background and long-term would love to break into life sciences consulting (maybe also getting a PhD), but I’m really new to the space and need clarity on what undergraduate MBB recruiting timelines and deadlines for consulting internships look like. I saw that the deadline for McKinsey SSBA is June 10—are most applications for sophomore internships due the summer before the internship? Any advice on general direction or resources to prep for interviews/cases would be really appreciated, as I’m honestly clueless right now and want to get a better understanding of what I should be doing to stay on track.
