Some help

Hey all, I would like your advice and input to quell some questions and doubts. You guys give great advice to people on here and I just wanted to see what you all had to say.

I am a Biology major 2.75 gpa graduated Winter 2015, 710 GMAT. I changed my track from wanting to go into a medical career to straight going into consulting. Reason for low gpa is that I engaged in way too many extracurriculars while doing a major I was not naturally suited for to go into a career I spent no time reflecting, introspecting and questioning why I wanted to go into.

Simplified reason for going into consulting is to develop a greater business intuition and refined skill set that I can bring into more entrepreneurial adventures a decade down the line. The whole process of job hunting has been different and I have not even sent out resumes (just waiting on more advice. Resumes and cover letters are ready. Have done mock interviews and have thoroughly reflected through my past experiences). Seeing the cookie cutter business majors at my school getting fed into these top consulting firms has definitely led me to be hesitant.

Am I decently competitive for some management consulting positions? Is there something more that I can do? Is there a different route I should take? Will I be just be thrown into the rejection pile? Is there something I should be more mindful of when applying for these positions?

Just a brief overview of my experiences: 6 months Business Analyst Intern post graduation for a small non-tech startup. 2 years as a Resident Assistant 1 year working as a scribe for doctors 2.5 years volunteering at a hotline (leadership position taken) 2 years President of a club I created 1 year President of another club (raised over $10 k for charity) Great LORs from all work experiences. Travelled to over 20 countries Any advice would be great. If you took the time to read this, thank you!
