Stressed outta my minda bout GPA

For context, I am a freshman @ UMich dual-majoring in Data Science and Economics along with a minor in English. I have very strong experiences and extracurriculars (currently doing quant research at a small firm, doing research, and in a lot of finance clubs on campus)

I had a hard time transitioning to college in my first semester and had a close family relative that passed away during that time. Consequently, my grades were HORRIBLE. I think I'm looking at a 2.9 this semester. I did the math and best case scenario, if I pick myself up and get a 4.0 for the next two semesters, I can get a 3.43 by end of this year and 3.63 by end of 1st semester sophomore year. Can someone tell me how my current standing is if my goals are recruiting for Asset/Wealth Management, Equity Research, Consulting starting the 1st semester of Sophomore year? I've been stressing so much ever since the semester ended...Any advice and insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
