If its the language of the office you’re targeting, you should have a good chance (assuming that you check the other boxes). LSE undergrad is good

Seconding the comments that you’ll have no better luck in Europe than London. London is one of the most competitive offices globally, no doubt, but unless you have ties to a specific European country the pipeline is always going to be easier recruiting where you went to university (slight exception, perhaps, for some Middle Eastern offices).

LSE is well recruited. Oxbridge makes up maybe a tad over 50%, Imperial, LSE, and to a lesser extent UCL maybe another 30%, with the rest a mix of UK and non-UK universities.

Provided I have citizenship and am fluent in the language of a European country? I just thought in London you're competing with half the world since Brexit, whilst in Europe competition for each country will mostly come from within that same country.

That wasn’t clear in the post and does change things. Which office are you looking at?

London is pretty much as competitive as it gets, yes. But LSE is likely to do relatively well in London (it is a target, you can’t ask for much more) and I can’t see it having more sway in a foreign country. So you have to weigh that against the office overall being less competitive.

There are a lot of other factors here too - compensation, variety of staffing, etc.

if i’m from a UK semi target and apply to MBB Middle East with no ties, am I in okay shape?
