Undergraduate Opportunities at Consulting Firms

Hi All,

I am a rising sophomore at NYU Stern (Undergraduate). As most of you already know recruitment has moved up. I want to prepare as much as I can researching about the undergraduate opportunities I will have (mostly for summer 2017). Please comment below if you know of any great consulting opportunities/ programs/ conferences from either big consulting firms or boutique firms and if you know the deadline date/ how to apply. For instance, I know Deloitte has several great programs for freshman/sophomore students. I would greatly appreciate it if you shared your knowledge on any women targeted programs (diversity programs) I would love to hear your own personal experiences as well!

Also, if you have any tips and tricks on how to organize your list of applications/ your own recruitment process- please share below.

Thanks(:

I would remove your name to avoid trolls. That said, I think you'd get better results on specific programs by going to your school's career office and MBB and Tier 2 career websites.

The other thing I would do is see if there are women students at your school currently interning at firms you want to work for. Assuming there are, they probably have more specific insight to your unique situation than most if not all of the folks on this board. I would think there would be given you are at NYU. Hope this helps and good luck.

That's vague, do you mean what does the hiring situation look like? I think firms that do a lot of PE due diligence as a % of their work are probably worse off than other firms right now, but are still probably doing better than a year ago?
