Worth it To Get to Econ Major

So, I currently am entering my final semester at a non-target (think abt like 10 students at MBB) and am currently majoring in a pre-med major and my GPA is high (3.9). I have 3 internships, and some solid leadership positions. I have the option to either go debt free and just do an Economics minor or spend an entire semester worth for an Economics major. Would the Econ major vs minor make a big enough difference in consulting recruiting to warrant spending $9K more?
