would working at NERA or compass lexecon be better for my career?
I recently got an offer from NERA for an internship, and I'm waiting on Compass Lexecon to let me know what their decision is, as I interviewed with them earlier this week, also for an internship. I have until 5/12 to decide for NERA so it's coming up fast.
I've heard that NERA is "better" than Compass Lexecon and is known for its analytical rigor more so than CL. Is this true?
The only reason I'm waiting on CL is because I prefer the location of the CL office (California) more than the one I'm working with at NERA (East Coast).
Do firms typically let interns transfer offices if the interns get a FT offer? My long term goals when exiting, if I do get a FT offer and stay in economic consulting for a bit after college, would be to get into quantitative market research or data analyst roles or data-driven strategy roles. I don't want a PhD in economics or anything like that.
