Anyone flip from FP&A to Business Intelligence or vice versa?
if so, please weigh in on why and if it was a good switch for you.
i am considering it mainly b/c i love reporting and working with dashboards.
These 2 functions are starting to become extremely blended. Not that the the FP&A function will ever sit under the CIO but reliance FP&A has on the data managed by BI is undeniable. I have seen a good number of individuals that now sit in the BI function with finance/accounting backgrounds.
A transition from one to the other is quite do-able.
