Corporate Finance Rotational Programs for MBA
I'm trying to decide on b-schools to target so I want to get everyone's thoughts on legit corporate finance MBA programs. The idea is to get a list of F500 companies with these programs so I can then research these companies to see which b-schools they recruit at. For example, everyone has heard of GE FMP. I prefer companies headquartered or based on the east coast (NYC, Boston, or DC) as that is where I ultimately want to end up. I know that most of these programs require relocation during the first few years.
With a top MBA you can get into just about any program. Easiest way to go about this is just start googling companies you're interested in. FYI the FDP guide has a list of programs, but they're for undergrads.
Agree, most F500 companies have programs just google them. I just went through this process and will be interning in a position that feeds into a finance rotation for a F500. My school is not T16 and I interviewed with several F500 companies. I used the below CNN link to screen out companies by location.
As for "target" schools most companies look at programs within the region and will keep a couple positions open for non-targets. One of my interviewers told me he was surprised about my school because they normally only interview people from 5 schools, and not T5, just 5 within the region. I am sure HSW will get you an interview, but the companies do have clear preferences. It is just the nature of the beast.

Anybody want to share their opinions/experiences on MBA corporate finance Programs? I'm trying to get insights on which programs have the best exit ops, culture, interesting work, etc.
I think it really depends on the region + the company. I know a fortune 15 company that goes HEAVILY at Mizzou and OU...
People come into the FLDP making 90k in the southern region, which is damn good considering cost of living.

Is it possible to get into the M7 if you're in a corporate finance rotational program at a well-known BB?
Will someone who is doing corporate finance (rotational program) at a well-known BB bank be placed into the same pool of candidates as those doing IB at well-known BB banks or PE at well-known PE firms?
In other words, do MBA schools look at corporate finance people differently than they do investment bankers or PE/HF people?
