Differentiating Corp Dev / Corp Fin @ Disney

Recently met some Disney reps for coffee chats at my school; they mentioned two programs - a rotational program in global development (parks) + corp finance, and another one in 'decision support'.

Is the corp finance thing equivalent to corporate development, or are they different? If yes, could someone please explain the difference in the roles + which one is generally considered more desirable? Had read earlier on this site that corp dev @ Disney is a highly sought-after role - does this also apply for the corp fin rotational program, or the decision support stuff?

Thanks!

Did you ask them what the program/job entails? It really depends on the companies. Generally, Corp Dev = Corp M&A, Corp Fin = FP&A, and Corp Strat = strategy/consulting type stuff. However, I’ve seen CorpDev been called/combined with Corp Fin and CorpStrat at some places (usually smaller and less defined), this interviewer at a big 4 TAS group even referred my Corp Dev experience as “BD (I’m assuming its business development)”

I've worked with a Decision Support team. At one of my companies, their role was to help us (the corporate development team) with business unit / product modeling (assumptions etc.).

I find them to be more of an ad hoc type of group that works within a business unit to help out on a broad array of projects (from M&A, accounting, finance, operations etc.)
