Financial & Managerial Accounting Books

I am interested in strengthening my Financial and Managerial Accounting skillet. Which book would you recommend for each subject? Also, i prefer you recommend non-classroom books, which are 800+ pages and no one ever read or finishes, and instead focus on "informative" books, max 400 pages.

Thanks

Interesting question.

Personally, I've never even considered reading a managerial accounting book outside of a requirement for a class, but its a good idea. I've found my learnings in the area to be much more experience based, but even as a CFO I am seeing the need to improve upon my Operations and Operational Finance skillset so I wonder if you'll get any decent responses here.
