Help: Networking into a Corporate Finance analyst role within top Tech companies from a Non-Target
Hi everyone,
First off, thank you for taking the time to answer this question!
I am currently a senior in an undergrad program at a Big Ten University (think OSU, PSU, UMCP) and I am having difficulty getting interview opportunities with top tech companies (ex: Amazon, Apple, Netflix) and startups.
My Profile:
GPA: 3.7+/4.0
Extracurricular: Have a few leadership experiences in business clubs
2 Internships: The 1st one was as an accounting intern at an university. The 2nd one was as a Finance intern at a Fortune 15 company (Ex: Walmart, GE). While doing my second internship, I realized that I wanted to be within the tech industry.
What experience are these companies looking for? What can I do in the next few months in order to make my profile standout and get opportunities to interview for elite tech companies?
As far as networking is concerned, there aren't many alumni that work at these companies, especially within corporate finance. Could anyone provide me with a step-by-step process that I should take to potentially land an interview. What kind of emails should I send to recruiters or other employees within the company?
Thanks again! I really appreciate any insights!
Bump :) Any inputs would be appreciated!
