Life in Investor Relations (IR)

Hi all, I'm curious on what life is like in investor relations (both corporate IR and PE IR). I really enjoy the creative aspect of developing PPT presentations and making them nice and "jazzy", but want to stay tied to finance in some capacity. I'm curious what the day-to-day can look like, the comp / career progression, WLB, and any other details you could share.

For reference, I spent ~1.5 years in BB IB (Goldman, JPM, MS) and then ~2 years in media industry strategy (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney, Warner Bros.). Thanks everyone!

I’m an Analyst 1 at MF in IR. Work life balance is good relative to peers in banking, I’m working about 60 hours a week and the comp is very close to what my IB peers are making, but I understand that the divergence in salary will be more pronounced over the long term.
